SuperMotocross World Championship set for 2023

 

The SuperMotocross World Championship set for 2023 after AMA Supercross lost its status as the world championship of the specialty. It is a collaborative event in the USA between the AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross organizations: Feld Motor Sports and MX Sports Pro Racing.


Both championships will continue to have their traditional individuals seasons (Supercross on the stadium track and Motocross on the outdoor track), with their respective champions. The top 22 finishers in each class (450cc and 250cc) in each championship at the conclusion of the regular season will advance to the SuperMotocross Playoff Rounds.


The best Motocross and Supercross riders in the world will compete in the United States and these will decides the winner for the SuperMotocross World Championship. The finale will take place at the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum stadium in Los Angeles on October 14, 2023. The winners will split a total of $10 million, the largest purse in the sports' histories.
