The Detroit Grand Prix is a highly anticipated event in the Indycar racing calendar, Scheduled for 31st May-02 June 2024. This thrilling race will be held at a temporary circuit situated on Belle Isle, Michigan, and boasts the sponsorship of Lear Corporation, hence its name, the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear Corporation.

The upcoming event includes the NTT Indycar Series, Chevrolet Dual in the Detroit doubleheader race, Indy Lights Presented by the Cooper Tire series, and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Detroit has held 30 Grand Prix races throughout its history, the most recent being in 2019. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the 2020 race could not take place.

In 1982, the inaugural Detroit Grand Prix commenced as a Formula 1 race conducted on the downtown streets of Detroit. After gaining CART approval in 1989, the race was shifted to Belle Isle until 2001 under the championship car and CART banner.
