After a 10-year gap, the Miami E-Prix will be back on the 2025 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship schedule. The race will begin on 12 April 2025 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

This event first appeared during the 2014-15 season, marking the first of two U.S. races that year, the other being the Long Beach ePrix. However, it only took place in Miami for that one season.

In June 2024, it was officially announced that the race would return for the 2024-25 Formula E World Championship. The venue has been moved to Homestead, utilizing the road course at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
