All three winners used their points to qualify for the new SuperMotocross Championship (SMX), which will begin on September 9, 2023. The venue for the series will be announced later. The SMX playoffs round 2 will be on September 23, 2023, at another venue that will be decided later. The championship will be played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where Supercross was introduced in July 1972.
The Supercross championship will consist of 17 individual races. The first three rounds of the 2023 Supercross season will take place in Oakland, San Diego, and Anaheim. On February 4, 2023, the race will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston, and on February 25, 2023, it will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. As of the year 2023, both Daytona and Atlanta will host infield races once again.
In 2023, there will be 11 motocross events held in 10 states. This time in California, there will be two rounds.
The locations of the first two SMX Championships haven't been decided yet, but one is likely to be on the East Coast and the other in the Midwest. On October 14, 2023, the calendar ends at the Los Angeles Coliseum, which is 35 miles away.
